Split line method

Use this method to split a line in an existing polygon or polyline feature (two nodes with a connecting line) by adding a node to the line using another data collection method.

  1. Tap Split line.

    If you do not see this button in the Survey method bar, drag left across the Survey method bar to view more buttons.

  2. Tap Select line and then in the map tap the line to split. The selected line is shown in red.

    To choose another line, tap Select line again and then select a different line in the map.

  3. Tap Accept .

  4. Select an existing node to add to the line, or select the method you will use to add the new node to the line. You can use any other data collection method, for example, GNSS measurement, Snap to node, Free node, or the COGO functions such as Chain & Offset or Extend horizontal.

    The Construction method is not available for the Split line method. Active iFeatures are not used by the Split line method.

  5. Use the selected method to set the new position for the node.

    To cancel the Split line feature, use the Android back button.
