System settings
To configure general Penmap settings, in the Project list tap and then tap System.
Disable standby
Select the check box to disable standby on the device. This prevents the device from powering off automatically.
Clean up cache
If you are using a web map service, the software caches the WMS tiles. It can be useful to delete collected WMS tiles if the cache is old or available memory on the device is low.
Update system files
The software runs the Update system files function automatically from time to time to check for updates to the coordinate system database. If this is not running, for example if the device has not had an internet connection, or if you are not seeing the expected coordinate system changes, tap Update System Files to get the latest files.
Diagnostics
By default the Diagnostics check box is selected, and diagnostic-files are saved to MyPenmap/Logfiles.
If the diagnostics files are requested by Trimble Technical Support for data analysis, tap Send Diagnostics to automatically open the email app on the device and attach the log files.
Use touch threshold
If the touch-hold function is not operating correctly on your device, the touchscreen may be too sensitive. Select the Use touch threshold check box and then select the appropriate Touch sensitivity level. For example, if you are using a Samsung S8, Trimble recommends setting the Touch sensitivity level to 300.
