To add a pipeline to the project

One tally file is usually used as the master tally file for the entire pipeline project and shared amongst multiple survey crews. The name of the tally file is used as the Pipeline name.
To prevent data conflicts, make sure that each pipeline has a unique name as Trimble Access uses a shared folder for all pipeline data.

- Click Units to change the units and formats for numerical values. See Unit settings.
- Click Coord. sys. to choose the coordinate system for the job. To choose a coordinate system from the library.

If you entered a location for the project in the Project properties screen, the map zooms to the defined location.
If required, click in the map to pan and use click the slider below the map to change the zoom level.
Appropriate coordinate systems for the map location are listed below the map.
- To ignore the map filter, disable the Map filtering switch.
- Select a coordinate system from the library list or use the Zone, Datum and Geoid fields to select the coordinate system settings.
For more information on choosing a coordinate system for the job, including keying in parameters, see Coordinate system settings.
- Use the remaining fields in the Pipeline properties tab to configure the pipeline properties and add files related to the pipeline, such as the alignment, exclusion or pipeline cover files. See To configure Pipeline properties.
-
Click Save to send the changes to Trimble Connect. If you have uploaded large files this can take a few minutes.
The software returns to the Project overview screen.
