Licensing

Trimble TerraFlex subscriptions are available in monthly or annual billing, and are upgradeable at any time.

The software features available depend on your subscription type:

Purchasing subscriptions

To purchase TerraFlex subscriptions, contact your local Trimble Distributor.

Managing licenses

After purchase, the account administrator in your organization can use Trimble License Manager to activate the TerraFlex subscription and assign licenses to members of your team. For more information go to the Trimble License Manager Help.

You will receive a notification email from the Trimble License Manager system when a license is assigned to you.

TerraFlex trial mode

A TerraFlex trial is automatically created for you the first time you sign in to TerraFlex with your Trimble ID.

A TerraFlex trial lasts for 30 days and allows you to collect forms for up to 200 features during those 30 days. During the trial period, a display banner shows that you are collecting data as part of a trial. A TerraFlex trial provides access to all the features in the TerraFlex software (equivalent to a TerraFlex Premium license).

When a TerraFlex trial expires or when you reach the 200 form limit, you can no longer sign in to TerraFlex and the software displays the “no user seat assigned” message.

Trimble Connect licenses

When you first sign in to Trimble Connect you are given a Trimble Connect Free license.

To create more than one Trimble Connect project or invite more than 5 users to your project, and have unlimited data storage for your Trimble Connect project, you must change your Trimble Connect Project to use the TerraFlex license instead of the Trimble Connect Free license.

To change the license:

  1. In the Map Viewer, click next to the map workspace name at the top of the screen to view the Trimble Connect project folder.

  2. In the menu at the left, select Settings / Project Details.

  3. In the Project Ownership field, select the appropriate owner your account name. You must have a TerraFlex license assigned to your account to upgrade from the Trimble Connect Free license.
