Managing map workspaces
In the Trimble Connect Map Viewer, you can duplicate, archive, remove, and export your map workspaces, and share them with a different Trimble Connect project.
To access the options for managing your map workspaces:

In the Trimble Connect Map Viewer, click
then on the Map workspaces slide-out which shows your map workspaces, click
.

Select the required option:
Duplicate
Use this option to duplicate an existing map workspace, within the selected Trimble Connect project.
- In the Duplicate Workspace pop-up, enter the Name and Description for the workspace.
- If required, select the Use the same coordinate system as the source workspace option.
- Click Next.
- Select one of the following:
Duplicate templates to make copies of the existing templates. Any changes to duplicated templates will not apply to the original templates.
Link templates, to share the templates across the workspaces that use them. Changes to a linked template are reflected in all the workspaces that they are linked from.

Click Done.
Archive
Use this option to archive map workspaces you no longer need, but don't want to delete. Archived map workspaces are not published to TerraFlex, but are still available in Trimble Connect to view and edit, and they can be unarchived at any time.
If required, you can select a different location to archive the map workspace to.
Click Archive. The map workspace is moved to the Archived tab in the Map workspaces pop-up.
To remove a map workspace from Archive, select it from its Archive location and click
/ Unarchive. If required, you can select a different location to unarchive the map workspace to. Click Unarchive.
Remove
Use this option to remove map workspaces you no longer need.
You cannot remove a map workspace that contains a ToDo.
You can restore a map workspace that has been removed; in Trimble Connect, select Activity, find the map workspace that you want to restore, and click Restore.
Export
Use this option to export the data / forms from a map workspace as a .csv file, Esri File Geodatabase, Shapefile, or .kml file.
If there are no forms, nothing is exported.
In the Export data pop-up, select the required options then click Export.
The file is sent to the email address that you use for your Trimble Connect account (Trimble ID).
Download As (to share a map workspace between Trimble Connect projects)
Use this option to download a Workspace Definition (.WSDef) file, containing a copy of the templates in the selected map workspace, so you can share it with another Trimble Connect project.
Forms in the map workspace are not copied.
If required, select the Lock templates option to prevent the templates being edited in the Trimble Connect project you are sharing the map workspace with.
Click Next, then click Download. Download the file to the desired location, then click Done.
Select the Trimble Connect project you want to share the downloaded Workspace Definition (.WSDef) file with in the Map Viewer, then select Create from workspace definition. Browse to the .WSDef file you downloaded and complete the map workspace creation steps.
