Overview of Roles and Permissions

Account Level

At the account level, there are two roles that enable different functions within WorksManager:

  • Account Administrator

  • Account User

Here is a simple view of the functions for each role:

WorksManager Function Administrator User
Accounts View details; plus all account-level functions for Map, Details, Projects, Users, Devices, and Internet Base Stations -
Projects

Create, delete, update, archive

(All other project functions should be done by Project Managers at the project level. See Project Permissions)

View
Users

Add to account, edit (reassign role), delete from account

(All project user functions should be done by Project Managers at the project level. See Project Permissions.)

Devices

Add to account, edit, remote access, delete from account

(All other device functions should be done by Project Managers at the project level. See Project Permissions Add to account, edit, remote access, delete from account.)

Base Station Management View base stations, view connected devices, view connection history report -
TBC Sync

(must be both an Account Admin and a Project Manager)

NOTE: Many Account Roles and Project Permissions are shared with WorksOS too.

Project Level

At the project level, there are two permission levels that enable different functions:

  • Project Manager

  • Project Viewer
