Transport in the field

For transport in the field either carry the scanner in its original transport case or carry the scanner and equipment separately.

Transport in a road vehicle

Never carry the scanner loose in a road vehicle as it can be affected by shock and vibration. Always carry the scanner in its transport case and secure it. It is recommended to transport the scanner in the shipping carton.

Shipping

Please keep the cardboard shipping box and foam inserts for future shipments. Always use the complete original packaging when shipping. Only the original packaging can protect the equipment from shock and vibration during shipment.

Shipping and transporting the batteries

System check after transportation

For units that are exposed to high mechanical forces, e.g. through frequent transport or rough handling, it is recommended to have the instrument checked by a Trimble Service Partner as soon as possible after such a high level of stress.
