Moving between stations

Follow the instructions below when moving the instrument from station to station to ensure a good scan registration.

Move the tripod and the instrument from one station to the next:

1. Grab the tripod by two legs with your hands near the head of the tripod.

2. Lift the tripod and the instrument together.

3. Move to the next station while:

   • Ensuring there is enough overlapping areas with the previous station.

   • Keeping the distance between two consecutive stations less than 10 m.

   Having enough overlapping areas and limiting the distance between stations helps ensure good scan registration.

4. Lower the tripod and the instrument to the new scanning position.

If the registration fails between two stations, consider capturing another station between them to improve overlap and/or decrease the distance between scans.
