Network Configuration
These settings display the current receiver internet configuration.
Select Network Configuration / Summary.
Ethernet IPv4
DHCP Status – Indicates if DHCP is on or set to Static IP. If DHCP is on, the receiver is automatically assigned an IP address from the network.
The receiver can recover its IP address when in DHCP mode whenever it is connected to a DHCP server that is temporarily unavailable. If the receiver is connected to a DHCP server which is then not available and its “lease” has expired, the receiver switches to IP address 169.254.1.XXX. Every 60 seconds, the receiver tries to reconnect to the DHCP server to obtain a new IP address. This is useful when the receiver “drops off” the DHCP server and does not require a manual power cycle.
Ethernet IPv4 Address – Displays the current ethernet IPv4 address of the receiver.
DNS IPv4 Address – Displays the IPv4 address of the current Domain Name Server.
Secondary DNS IPv4 Address – Displays the IPv4 address of the Secondary Domain Name Server.
HTTP Server Port – Displays the port on which the web server is currently running. The default HTTP port is 80.
NAT – Displays whether NAT (Network Address Translation) is enabled or disabled.
Ethernet IPv6
Ethernet IPv6 Address – Displays one or more global unicast IPv6 addresses assigned to the receiver when it is connected to a router that supports IPv6 services. The prefix length is shown in the suffix followed by /. For example, /128 generally appears for DHCPv6 assigned addresses, and /64 or smaller values appear for addresses assigned via SLAAC based on a prefix delegated by a router.
Ethernet Link-local IPv6 Address – IPv6 link-local address.
Gateway IPv6 Address – IPv6 gateway address, typically a link-local address with the fe80:: prefix.
Primary DNS IPv6 Address – IPv6 address of the primary DNS server (if available).
Secondary DNS IPv6 Address – IPv6 address of the secondary DNS server (if available).
If PPP is enabled (see PPP), the following information is displayed:
PPP Port – Displays the port on which the PPP connection is established.
PPP State – Indicates if a PPP connection is currently established.
PPP Local Address – Displays the IP address of the receiver on the PPP connection.
PPP Remote Address – Displays the IP address of the device that the receiver is connected to on the PPP connection. The receiver assigns this address to the connecting device on connection.
