Licenses
The Licenses tab shows a product tile for each subscription block or On Demand account you can administer:
- Each Subscription tile lists the licenses purchased in that subscription block. License details include subscription type, assigned user, and license expiry date.
- Each On Demand account tile lists the users who have been assigned to that account, and the history of On Demand hours purchased.
Assign subscriptions to team members or add team members to an On Demand account using the fields in the product tile. To quickly assign the same license type to multiple existing users, click ASSIGN USERS.
Product tiles appear automatically in Trimble License Manager once purchase is completed. You must accept the product Terms of Service before you can use the service. Click TERMS to view the product Terms of Service at any time.

A subscription block is a group of licenses for the same product that were purchased at the same time and with the same service duration (monthly or yearly).
Depending on the product purchased, a subscription block can consist of different service level types. For example, a Catalyst subscription block can include any combination of Catalyst 1, Catalyst 10, Catalyst 30 and Catalyst 60 subscriptions.
Extending a subscription block
Extending a subscription maintains the subscription type or types, and the same number of licenses as when the subscription was originally purchased. Whether a subscription is automatically extended depends on how it was purchased:
-
Auto extending subscriptions are monthly or yearly subscriptions that were purchased online from the Trimble distributor's website. These subscriptions automatically extend on the day of expiry.
Your auto extending subscription can be canceled at any time. Contact your Trimble distributor to cancel your subscription.
- Fixed duration subscriptions are monthly or yearly subscriptions that were purchased directly from your Trimble distributor. These subscriptions end at the day of expiry. Fixed duration subscriptions can be extended at any time. Contact your Trimble Distributor to renew the subscription.
Activating the subscription block
You must activate a subscription block before you can use it. When you activate the subscription, Trimble sets the start and end date of the entire subscription block based on the service duration purchased. Subscriptions blocks self-activate after 90 days. See Activating the subscription block.
Activation does not apply to Trimble Business Center subscription blocks, which are activated at the time of purchase.

A subscription block can contain one or more licenses. Each license in a subscription block has the same duration and the same start and expiry date.
Licenses are used to manage who in your organization has access to the subscription. Users must have a license to use all of the product features, or in some cases, to use the product at all.
Account administrators are assigned the first license in each new subscription block, but you can reassign it to another user using Trimble License Manager. If the subscription block contains multiple licenses, use Trimble License Manager to assign the additional licenses to team members. See Assigning licenses.
Adding licenses
The number of user licenses in a subscription block is committed for the duration of the subscription block period. To add more users to your team, you need to purchase a new subscription block for the subscription type, duration, and number of users that you want to add.
Reducing the number of licenses
The number of user licenses in a subscription block is committed for the duration of the subscription block period. Therefore, you must maintain the committed number of licenses until your subscription block expiry date.

Trimble Business Center licenses are managed within a subscription pool. A subscription pool is a group of licenses for the same product that were purchased at the same time and with the same service duration. The licenses in the subscription pool are allocated as "seats" to users within the pool. You can assign a seat to a user and return the seat to the pool when it is no longer required. See Managing user seats within a subscription pool.
