Ethernet IPv6 Configuration
Use these settings to change the Ethernet configuration of the receiver. For more information, see Configuring IPv6 settings.
Select Network Configuration / Ethernet IPv6 to set automatic (DHCP) or fixed (Static IP) address allocation.
IPv6 Setup – Select DHCP for automatic address configuration using SLAAC and/or DHCPv6. Select Static IP to configure a fixed address.
Ethernet IPv6 Address – Displays one or more global unicast IPv6 addresses assigned to the receiver when it is connected to a router that supports IPv6 services. The prefix length is shown in the suffix followed by /. For example, /128 generally appears for DHCPv6 assigned addresses, and /64 or smaller values appear for addresses assigned via SLAAC based on a prefix delegated by a router.
Gateway IPv6 Address – IPv6 gateway address, typically a link-local address with the fe80:: prefix.
Prefix Length – Number of bits used in the IPv6 prefix. The prefix is appended to the routable IP addresses, as in 2001:db8::204:a3ff:fe4b:932a/64.
When accessing the receiver web interface or an I/O stream service, the SLAAC IPv6 address or a static IPv6 address should be used rather than a DHCPv6 address because DHCPv6 addresses often change when the lease expires.
