Internet – The current status of the LTE internet connection. Status messages are:

  • Up and connected – A connection to the internet is available via the LTE modem. If you are using a prepay SIM card that has no credit, you will see this status but there will be no data service.

  • Disconnected – The LTE modem is not connected to the internet.


RSSI – The Received Strength Signal Indicator, shown numerically and as reception "bars":

Service Operator – The name of the network provider.

Connection Type – The current network service type, for example "LTE(4G)".

SIM Status – The current status of the SIM card inserted into the MPS566 modem.

  • OK (PIN verified or not required) – The SIM card is working correctly.

  • CPIN required but not verified [ Number of attempts left: x ] – The SIM card is locked and needs a CPIN (see LTE Configuration).

  • Need Pin Unblocking Key (PUK, 8 digits) to unblock SIM card – The SIM card has been blocked and requires the Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) available from your network operator or Trimble Support.

Network Registration – Network registration information from the network operator.

Temperature – The current operating temperature reported by the MPS566 modem.

SIM ID – This is also known as the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identification Number). It is a unique 18 to 22 digit code usually printed on the back of a SIM card. It defines which network the SIM can connect to. The ICCID is made up of:

  • The first two digits are always 89; an industry standard meaning a telecommunications network product.

  • One to six digits for the country code.

  • One to four digits for the MNC (Mobile Network Code).

  • A unique SIM card identifier

SIM IMSI – The International Mobile Subscriber Identity is unique to the network user allowing multiple users on the same ICCID.

Modem IMEI – The International Mobile Equipment Identity is unique to the receiver as an LTE device.

Tx – The volume and rate of data being transmitted by the receiver over the LTE modem.

Rx – The volume and rate of data being received by the MPS566 over the LTE modem.
