Step 3. Activate warranties, install options and radio settings, and update the receiver firmware

Install Trimble Installation Manager. Go to www.trimble.com/installationmanager.
Connect the receiver to USB power (see Step 2. Connect the USB power).
Connect the receiver to your computer using a USB-C or serial cable.
Start Trimble Installation Manager. See Updating a receiver.
Select the Receiver tab and click Connect.
Select COMx Trimble USB from the list of available ports and click OK.
Follow the instructions to install the latest firmware and assigned options.

The warranty date is activated the first time you install the firmware options or firmware using Trimble Installation Manager.
