MSS Status

This page provides information about the currently-tracked OmniSTAR satellite service and/or Trimble RTX correction service (with xFill technology).

Select MSS Corrections / Status.

OmniSTAR Configuration

Internal HP/XP Link ID – The configured HP/XP satellite ID used by the internal demodulator.

Internal HP/XP Link Name – The configured HP/XP satellite name used by the internal demodulator.

Internal VBS Link ID – The configured VBS satellite ID used by the internal demodulator.

Internal VBS Link Name – The configured VBS satellite name used by the internal demodulator.

L-Band Beam Status

Provides information relating to the currently-tracked Trimble RTX / OmniSTAR signal (spot beam).

Signal Source

  • Demodulator – The receiver is using the RTX/OmniSTAR data from the internal demodulator.

  • External – The receiver is using the RTX/OmniSTAR data from an external source through a serial, Ethernet, or NTRIP port.

  • Off – RTX/OmniSTAR data is not being used.

Tracking Mode

  • Off – OmniSTAR signal tracking is off.

  • Search – Initializing – Searching for RTX/OmniSTAR satellite, initializing.

  • Searching – Searching for RTX/OmniSTAR satellite, running.

  • Track – Initializing – Found RTX/OmniSTAR satellite, tracking initialization.

  • Full Tracking – Found RTX/OmniSTAR satellite, verifying data stream.

  • Full Tracking (Service) – Fully tracking RTX/OmniSTAR satellite and using the service indicated in the brackets.

Satellite Link ID – ID of the RTX/OmniSTAR satellite link.

Satellite Link Name – Name of the RTX/OmniSTAR satellite link.

Frequency [MHz] – Frequency of the RTX/OmniSTAR signal.

Bit Rate – Bit rate of the RTX/OmniSTAR signal.

Eb/No [dB] – Signal strength.

Mode

  • Off – Signal tracking is off.

  • Search – Initializing – Searching for OmniSTAR or RTX satellite, initializing.

  • Searching – Searching for OmniSTAR or RTX satellite, running.

SNR [dBHz] – Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) of the OmniSTAR or RTX signal.

Age of Correction [sec] – Displays the age of corrections in seconds.

Configuration – Shows the authentication and mode settings set under Authentication in the MSS Configuration page.

Current Mode – Shows the authentication and mode settings set under Authentication in the MSS Configuration page.

Navigation /Correction Status – Shows if the data received is authenticated or non-authenticated.

Status

Description

Disabled

Authentication is not turned on or is missing a subscription.

Authenticated data

All satellites used have passed authentication, and an authenticated position has been made.

No Authentication

One or more of the used satellites could not be tested for authenticity (i.e. missing hash for any reason). This will result in a position without authentication.

Failed Authentication

A hash mismatch has occurred for one or more used satellites. Position cannot be trusted. Overrides No Authentication and Authentication Warning.

Authentication Warning

A hash mismatch has occurred for one or more unused satellites, while no hash mismatch was reported on any used satellites. Overrides No Authentication.

Age of msg [sec] – The measure of how old the messages sent to the receiver are, in seconds. You can set the maximum age of the messages to receive under Max Authentication Data Outage in the MSS Configuration page.

RTX/xFill Configuration

SV name – Displays the name of the CenterPoint RTX/xFill satellite currently being tracked. "Auto" indicates that the satellite was selected based on geographical location.

Frequency [MHz] – Displays the frequency of the currently-tracked RTX/xFill satellite.

Bit Rate [Hz] – Display the rate at which the tracked RTX/xFill data is modulated to the carrier wave.
