Using Bentley iModels
The recommended workflow for using iModels from Bentley’s OpenRoads software is to import the model into Trimble Business Center. Do this using either the iModel file or by creating an external service profile and accessing iModels from ProjectWise. Once the model is in Trimble Business Center export it to Trimble Connect using the SiteVision AR export option.
The alternative workflow for Bentley data is to import a DGN file into Trimble Connect. The DGN file will need to be supplemented with a matching JXL file for automatic placement, or use the measured placement option to accurately georeference the model on site.
SiteVision supports version 7 and version 8 of the DGN format.
