Export

Siteworks does not write any data to VCL files. There is no export to VCL files from within the Siteworks software. Copies of VCL Design files are exported to the Earthworks software as part of the Export to Machine workflow Linework is still written to a DXF file, surfaces are still saved as TTM files, and key-in road data as PRO files. Note that key-In road functionality and writing PRO files is not available on the Android operating system. Starting with version 1.72 it is possible to read .PRO files on Android devices.

When saving the measured surface as a design, you can still merge the measured surface with the active design surface of the VCL file. The merged surface is then saved as a TTM surface in a new design folder.

You can also still select to include the VCL linework when saving the measured surface as a new design. The design VCLs linework is saved as a DXF file in the new design folder.

When exporting a VCL Design to an Earthworks system, a copy of the currently loaded VCL design in Siteworks is placed in the appropriate Project Library for use in Trimble Earthworks.
