Export Fast Survey Files (.crd/.inf/.sys)

FAST Survey is a survey application that runs on Windows Mobile devices and can be used in the field with Spectra Geospatial SP, ProMark, and ProFlex GNSS receivers. You can export stakeout point data from your project in files that are formatted for use with FAST Survey:

  • .crd - This is the main coordinate file (binary) for a FAST Survey job.
  • .inf - This optional text file specifies user preferences settings (units of measurement).
  • .sys - This optional text file specifies the coordinate system definition.

You can export FAST Survey files to a disk drive or upload them to a connected device.

To export Fast Survey files to a disk drive:

  1. Select Export in Home > Data Exchange.
  2. Select the Survey tab. Then select Fast Survey job exporter (.CRD) in the list.
  3. Click in the Data field. Then select the points you want to export for stakeout in the field.
  4. Type a path and file name for the exported file in the File Name field, or click the Browse button to browse for a location and specify a file name.
  5. If you want to export the project's coordinate system definition (that is, create .inf and .sys files along with the main .crd file), select Yes in the Coordinate system drop-down list in the Settings section.
  6. Click the Export button.
