Import NovaPoint Files (.gen)

Import files created in ViaNova Novapoint software to bring point coordinates and roadway data (both designs and results for alignments and corridors) into your project. The file formats include:

• .gen - road model definition that references horizontal alignment (.hor), vertical alignment (.vpr), profile (.vrt), road layers (.veg), and terrain data (.ter) files; (NovaPoint coordinate file)

  Note: This NovaPoint format is supported only on 64-bit systems and in the 64-bit version of Trimble Business Center.

For other Nordic file formats, see Import Nordic Data Exchange Files. To import a file, follow the instructions in Import Data. After import, the file appears in the Project Explorer under the Imported Files folder. All imported data is placed on layer 0.
