Export TL-Pro Terrain Manager files (.tmf)

Export a TL-Pro Terrain Manager file (.tmf) containing any of the following project objects, which can then be imported into Trimble TL-Pro Design Studio:

  • CAD objects
  • Surfaces
  • Point, line, and polygon features
  • Feature codes
  • Raster images (GeoTIFF)

To export a TL-Pro Terrain Manager (.tmf) file:

  1. Select Export in Home > Data Exchange. The Export command pane displays.
  2. Click the CAD tab and select TL-Pro Terrain File (.tmf) exporter.
  3. Click in the Data box. Then, using a tabbed view, Project Explorer, or Selection Explorer, select the objects you want to include in the export.

    Alternately, you can click the Options button and choose a selection option in the list.

  4. For each ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) classification listed in the Classification Mapping table that you want to export, select the correct feature code.
  5. In the File Name box, type a path and file name for the export file, or click the Browse button to browse for a location and specify a file name.

    By default, the exported file is given the name of your project.

  6. Click Export.
