Merge Point Cloud Regions

Use the Merge Point Cloud Regions command to merge two or more point cloud regions into a single region.

Prerequisites:

To merge point cloud regions:

1. In the Project Explorer, use Ctrl + click or Shift + click to select two or more point cloud regions you want to merge.

   The selected regions are highlighted in the graphic views.

2. Right-click and select Merge Regions.
3. In the Enter Scan Region Name dialog, enter a name for the new region to be created from the selected regions.
4. Click OK.

   The newly created region replaces the individual merged regions in the Project Explorer.

   Note: The one exception to this rule is if you merge the Default point cloud region with one or more other regions. In this case, the Default region continues to have a placeholder node in the Project Explorer, even though it does not contain any scan points.
