Station and Offset View

Use the Station and Offset View, to view selected objects from the Plan View relative to a horizontal alignment. This view is typically used for pavement scheduling. In the Station and Offset View the alignment will appear as a straight line along the x axis. The alignments station value is displayed on the horizontal axis, and the objects perpendicular offset from the alignment is displayed on the vertical axis. This offset value is scaled by the Vertical exaggeration project setting. Two dimensional objects have all their vertices drawn in the station and offset system, so they will appear distorted compared to the same object in the Plan View.

As in the Plan View, where offsets to the right of the alignment are positive and the offsets to the left of the alignment are negative, in the Station and Offset View objects to the right of the alignment have a positive offset and objects to the left of the alignment have a negative offset. If an object or alignment is modified in the Plan View, the Station and Offset View updates accordingly.

Prerequisites:

  • An alignment
