Export Spectra Geospatial Origin Files (.job)

Use the Spectra Geospatial Origin job file exporter to export processed satellite and terrestrial survey data into JOB (.job) files that can be imported into Spectra Geospatial Origin field software.

Note: Origin is a full-featured, Android and Windows-supporting, modern software built to meet the needs of survey professionals, and it is intended as an upgrade/replacement for Spectra Geospatial Survey Pro.

To export Spectra Geospatial Origin job files:

  1. Select Export in Home > Data Exchange.
  2. In the Export pane, select the Survey tab and select Spectra Geospatial Origin job file exporter.
  3. Click in the Data field and then, in the Project Explorer or graphic view, select the survey data you want to export.
  4. Optionally, in the File Name field, change the export file name, which defaults to the project name. If necessary, click the Browse button to specify a location for the export file other than the project folder, which is the default.
  5. In the Settings fields, select options as follows:
    • Distance units - Select the distance units being used on the device to which you are sending the file.
    • Output system - Select the appropriate type of coordinate system being used on the device to which you are sending the file.
    • File version - Select which version of Origin you want the exported file to be compatible with. Typically, you only have to specify this if you are exporting a file for a device running an older version of Origin.
  6. Click Export.
