Custom Field Settings

Use Custom Field settings to enable and designate additional fields that can be used in site improvement definitions in the Material and Site Improvement Manager.

To access the settings:

  1. Select Project Settings in the Quick Access Toolbar.
  2. In the Project Settings dialog, click Custom Fields in the left pane.

Linestrings

Create custom fields for lines, linestrings, and boundaries. Enter the name of the custom field under Field name. Check Enable to make a custom field visible in the Project Explorer and Properties panes. Custom field values are shown as columns in the Excel Area/Length/Count Report.

Click the Clear data button to clear the custom fields.

MSI Manager

To have a user-defined field appear in site improvement properties in the Material and Site Improvement Manager (as well as any related takeoff reports), check the box to enable it and enter a field label. The fields allow you, for example, to include additional information, like an associated Part number, for more accurate bidding.
