Save a Project

You can save a project, rename a project/save a project to a different path or file name. Based on the default configuration as established when the program is installed, when you download data, save a project, or create an export file, the files are stored in subfolders beneath the My Documents folder of your computer.

When saving a new project file, you are free to place it within any designated existing folder, or you can create a new folder for that project. However, the Save As dialog will offer a default path within which the project will be saved, should you elect not to proactively specify a folder other than that default. You can change the path of that default folder if desired. To make that change, select Options in the Quick Access Toolbarand select General > File Locations. In the Options dialog, edit the path in the Project management folder box. Normally, you may wish to create a folder beneath which all of the data associated with each of your construction projects is located. You can then further organize your data within additional subfolders beneath that.
