Enabling or disabling target controls and functions

To enable or disable target functions during a survey, tap the instrument icon in the status bar to open the Instrument functions screen and then tap the required tile:

• To turn on or turn off target illumination, tap TIL. To configure target illumination settings, tap and hold the TIL button. See Target illumination.
• To enable the tracklight, tap Tracklight. To configure Tracklight settings, tap and hold the Tracklight button. See Tracklight.

• To turn on target lock, tap the second button on the last row in the Instrument functions screen.

  Depending on the configured target lock mode, the button shows Autolock, GeoLock, FineLock or LR FineLock. The button is yellow when target lock is enabled. To configure the target lock mode, tap and hold the button. See Target control settings.

• To search for the target, tap Search. To configure the search window, tap and hold the button. See Target control settings.

  • When you tap Search when Autolock, FineLock or Long Range FineLock is enabled, the instrument performs a search.

  • When you tap Search when GeoLock is enabled, the instrument does a single GeoLock turn then performs a search.

    The satellite icon on the Search button indicates a GeoLock is in progress.
