As-built inspection
Use the inspection and comparison tools to check as-built structures against the design.
Use the Measure to surface function to compare an as-built structure against the surface model. The surface can be a BIM model or a digital terrain model (DTM).
For more information, see Measure to a surface.
If you are using a Trimble SX10 or SX12 scanning total station, use the scanning function to capture a point cloud dataset.
Create a region to include only the scan points from scan point clouds you are most interested in, and then show only the region in the map using the Layer manager. A region is especially useful when performing a surface inspection.
For more information, see To scan using an SX10 or SX12 and Scan points and point clouds.
If the job contains scan point clouds of as-built surfaces created using a Trimble SX10 or SX12 scanning total station, you can use the Cogo Surface inspection feature to create an inspection point cloud that compares the scan point cloud of the as-built surface with a reference surface.
Points in the inspection point cloud are color-coded to provide immediate visual feedback between the point cloud and the reference surface. Tap points in your inspection to get details about any deviations. Export a surface inspection report in the field for faster feedback.
For more information, see Surface inspection.
To create a screen capture of the current map view, tap . If required, annotate the screen capture using the Draw tools and tap Store. To save the screen capture to the job, tap Store.
When you select the Survey report file format when you export the job, all screen captures saved to the job are automatically included in the report.
