Exporting data from a local project

Data collected in a local project is never synchronized to the cloud, so when you have collected data in a local project, export it in your chosen format:

Only saved forms, not Drafts, can be exported; check that the forms you want to export do not show as Draft in the Forms screen.

Configuring local project form export settings

To configure the format that you want to export your local project forms in:

1. Tap / Local project settings.

2. Select which format you want to export your TerraFlex forms in:

   • CSV

   • Shapefile

   • Trimble Terra Office, to import forms into the Trimble Terra Office software as a TFOUT file where you can export it to richer file formats such as FileGDB or DXF.

All exported files can be shared of transferred from your device.

Exporting local project data

1. Tap / Export forms.

   A message confirms that copies of completed forms (and not draft forms) will be exported to the Downloads folder on your device, in the format that you have set in / Local project settings (see above).

   NOTE – If there are no forms to export, the message Export error. There are no forms to export displays.

2. In the Export forms dialog, select which forms you want to export:

   • Export new forms only exports only forms which have never previously been exported. If there are no new forms, this option is greyed out.

   • Export all forms exports all the completed forms within your project.

3. Tap Export.

4. Once the export has completed successfully, an Export complete message displays.

   NOTE – If the export fails, the message Export error. Export has failed, please try again. displays.

5. If you are using:

   • an Android device, do one of the following:

     • Tap OK. The exported file will be available in the downloads folder of your device.

     • Tap SHARE. The Share option enables you quickly share the file using email, Google Drive, One Drive, etc.

   • an iOS device, tap SHARE, to share the file using email, Google Drive, One Drive, etc.

Original forms remain in the project on your device.
