-
If the TSC710 controller is on (the operating system is running) but the TSC710 controller's display is off, a short Power key press turns on the display.

An extra-long Power key press (15 to 25 seconds) forces the device to turn off, no matter what state it is in (even if the operating system has become unresponsive.) When you press-hold the Power key, the charge LED lights up green. After 15 to 20 seconds the charge LED briefly turns off then on again indicating that the power has been turned off. You should be able to start the device with the normal 4-second Power key press.
NOTE – If you do not release the Power key soon after the LED off / on cycle, you will likely trigger the operating system to start so the device will not stay in the Off state.
About Doze mode
If you have not interacted with the TSC710 controller for one minute (default setting), the screen turns off and the device goes into a power-saving Doze mode. Doze reduces battery consumption by deferring background CPU and network activity for apps when the device is not in use. The device exits Doze mode and resumes normal activity as soon as the Power key is pressed or when connected to a charger.
-
To manually put your device in Doze mode, briefly press the Power key.
-
To wake up your device from Doze mode, briefly press the Power key. Depending on your security settings, your device may be locked. To unlock it, swipe up on the screen then enter your PIN, password, or pattern if required
-
To set the screen turn-off time, go to Settings / Display / Screen timeout, and select your preferred duration.
Turning the TSC710 controller off
Power Off mode shuts down the TSC710 controller completely. Minimal processes still work such as maintaining date and time. To power off the device, do one of the following:
-
press-hold the Power key until the Power menu appears, then tap Power Off.
-
swipe down twice from the top of the screen, then tap the Power icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. On the Power menu tap Power Off.
TIP – Tap-hold the Power Off option to open the Reboot to safe mode confirmation dialog. Safe mode restart will boot into a minimal configuration to help diagnose potential driver or configuration problems.
Restarting / rebooting the device
If you need to reboot the device, press-hold the Power key until the Power menu appears, then tap Restart. Restart will reboot the system by powering off momentarily and then immediately powering back up and rebooting.
