Updating the IMEI number on a Trimble Sentinel / L2P subscription

When the Sentinel / L2P tracker hardware module inside an instrument is upgraded to a new module, or the current module is replaced by service, the IMEI number changes to that of the new tracker. Because of the link between the subscription, instrument serial number, and tracker IMEI number, the IMEI number on the corresponding subscription must be updated to ensure that the instrument appears in the correct location in the customer's Trimble Sentinel mobile application.

To update the IMEI number on the subscription in the Virtual Warehouse:

  1. Under Subscriptions, click Assign/Renew, and filter by customer name or customer email to locate the subscription to be updated.

  2. In the Subscriptions panel, select L2P and locate the subscription that needs to be updated by locating either the instrument serial number or Device ID (this is the IMEI number).

  3. Click next to the subscription that needs to be updated.

  4. Enter the IMEI number of the replacement tracker, then click Next.

  5. Confirm the details have been entered correctly; click Confirm.

The updated IMEI number appears in the Subscription details.

In the Trimble Sentinel application, the instrument appears at the location of the new tracking device.
