Connect Rovers to Shared Bases

For rovers and machine control systems needing to connect to a shared IBSS base, use the following standard NTRIP configuration across all Trimble field software (Earthworks, Siteworks, Groundworks, GCS900, and SiteVision):

  • Server URL / Address - share.ibss.trimble.com

  • Port / Port Number - 2101

  • Username / Account - [Your auto-generated 3rd-party user name]

  • Password - [Your shared password]

  • Mountpoint - [Select from the drop-down or enter a Base Name]

Software-Specific Navigation

  • Trimble Earthworks - Navigate to Connectivity > GNSS Correction Source. Set Source to Internet.

  • Trimble Siteworks - During Receiver Setup, select Internet as the Correction method.

  • Trimble Groundworks - Open GNSS Setup > Correction Data Setup. Set Type to Internet.

  • GCS900 - Open Setup Menu > Connectivity Settings > GPS Base Configuration > IBSS - Remote Base.
