Connecting the USB communication or power supply cable

The instrument has an external connector in the base of the instrument to connect the delivered USB communication cable (P/N 53099032) or an optional power supply (P/N 58027007-00), see Power supply. The USB communication cable can be used when the Wi-Fi® communication is not possible.

The power supply can be used indoors if you are out of battery power.

  1. Remove the rubber cap from the COM/12 V power connector on the front side of the instrument.

  2. Align the red dot on the LEMO connector of the USB communication (or power supply) cable with the red mark on the COM/12 V power supply connector.

  3. Firmly insert the LEMO connector of the USB communication (or power supply) cable.

  4. Do one of the following:

    1. Connect the USB communication cable to the USB port of the controller.

    2. Connect the power supply cable to the external power supply and then plug the power supply into a power source.

NOTE – If there is a charged battery in the instrument, the instrument automatically turns on after connecting the USB cable.
