Internal radio

Depending on the model you have purchased, the receiver is available with one of the following internal UHF radios:

• MPS566-2:

  • Dual-band (selectable):

    • 410 to 475 MHz: Worldwide excluding S. Africa, Thailand, and UAE (depending on the local licensing) (P/N MAR‑MPS566‑2‑50).

    • 900 MHz: Fully integrated, internal 900 MHz radio; Tx/Rx 1 W transmit power (P/N MAR‑MPS566‑2‑50).

  • 450 MHz only (ETSI compliant for S. Africa, Thailand, and UAE):

    • 410 to 473 MHz (P/N MAR-MPS566-2-40).

The UHF RF connector on the receiver is Reverse Polarity TNC, which on older Trimble receivers was only used for 900 MHz internal radios. The new 6” combined 450/900 MHz antenna (P/N 123588) has a Reverse Polarity TNC to suit the receiver.

External UHF antennas

External UHF antenna kits are available to suit both 450 and 900 MHz internal radios:

Existing antennas

• Existing 8” 900 MHz whip antennas may be used with the receiver 900 MHz model.

• Existing SPS855 external 900 MHz antenna accessories can be used with the receiver.

• Existing SPS855 external 450 MHz antenna accessories are not compatible with the receiver.
