How Coordinate Quality for a Point is Displayed

The quality of the coordinates used to determine the location of a point determine the quality of the point itself. Coordinate quality for a point is displayed in the point's Properties pane using the following symbols:

  • "Control" quality indicates the highest quality for a coordinate.
  • "Survey" quality indicates a coordinate value is based on surveyed data of the highest quality.
  • i_point quality mapping "Mapping" quality indicates a coordinate value is based on surveyed data of low to average quality.
  • i_point quality unknown "Unknown" quality indicates a coordinate value is based on surveyed data of the lowest or unverified quality. This is the lowest quality for a coordinate.

The symbol used to display a point in the Plan View provides some indication of the point's quality.
