Balance a Corridor Mass Haul at a Grade Point

Use the Balance Mass Haul at Grade Point command to specify a grade point on an alignment at which you want material balanced and haul ranges applied. Make sure that you have created a mass haul analysis, and that you have defined vehicle haul ranges.

Prerequisites:

To access the command:

  1. Do one of the following:

    The Balance Mass Haul at Grade Point pane appears.

To balance a corridor mass haul at a grade point:

  1. Select the analysis to balance in the Mass haul analysis list.
  2. In the Material list select the material to balance. Select Usable material or Unusable material to balance all materials combined. Select an individual material to balance a specific material. Select All Materials to balance all individual material ordinates. The options in this list is determined by any previous balances. You can balance usable and unusable material OR individual materials. You can not balance both.
  3. In the Grade Point box, pick a grade point in the Mass Haul Diagram.

    Note: If you enter a station in the Grade Point box the closest grade point is automatically selected.

  4. Click Apply. A balance line appears in the diagram.
  5. Use the steps above to specify balance points at additional stations, or click Close.

    Tip: Balance the mass haul in the order that you plan to haul material on site. Mass haul volumes are dependent on the order in which you balance each section.

To clear balance lines in a Corridor Mass Haul Diagram:

All of the balance lines are cleared.
