Import Terrestrial Photo Station Data Files

Terrestrial photo station data is contained in a data file. When you import the file into your project, referenced photo station images are imported as well. The data file and image files are stored in the project folder when you save the project.

If you import identical source images of varying exposures intended to be combined into high-dynamic-range (HDR) images, the HDR creation process occurs automatically during import. Only the resulting HDR image is actually imported. The three source files (each using a different exposure setting) used to create each HDR image are not imported. HDR images compensate for the high range of luminance levels found in real-world scenes. This increases detail in both darker and brighter areas of the image.

To import a terrestrial photo station data file:

Select Import in Home > Data Exchange, then select the data file you want to import.
