Delete Block Definitions
Use the Purge Block command to delete unreferenced (unused and unnested) block definitions from your project. A block definition cannot be purged if:
- An instance of the block (block reference) has been inserted in your model
- The block definition is nested in/referenced by another block definition; it is a child of a parent block
Prerequisites:
- License; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
- Block definitions that meet the criteria for being purged (see above)
To access the command:
- Select Purge Blocks in Drafting > Blocks.
To remove unused block definitions:
- Confirm that you want to purge all of the block definitions that are checked in the list. Boxes that are not checked denote blocks thathave either been inserted into your project or are nested in parent blocks that must be purged first.
- Click Apply. The selected block definitions are removed from your project. Boxes for any unused block definitions that were previously nested in parent block definitions are now checked.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 to purge additional block definitions.
