Print Sheets from a Plan Set

Use the Print Plan Set command to print/plot one or more sheets from a plan set. You can plot to any of the printing or plotting devices supported by Windows.

To quickly open the project folder that you are currently working in, select Open Project Folder.

Prerequisites:

• Licensed module; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
• Plan set
• Sheet set
• One or more sheets

To access the command:

• Select Print Plan Set in Drafting > Print.

To print sheets from a plan set:

1. Select the Plan set from which you want to print sheets.
2. To print all of the sheets in a specific sheet set, check the Print a single sheet set box, and select a sheet set in the list below.
3. Optional: Use the dropdown under View filter to select a filter.
4. Select a scale in the Print scale list.
   • 1:1 (full scale) - Select this to print in the same paper space dimensions used in the sheet view from which you are printing.
   • 2:1 (half scale) - Select this to print at half of the size used in the sheet view. For example, if you laid out a sheet to print at 559 mm x 864 mm (22" x 34"), but you want to print smaller sheets for a bid, select this to print at 279 mm x 432 mm (11" x 17").
5. In the Sheets to Print group, check the box for each sheet that you want to print, or click Select All to select all the sheets. Click Select None to deselect all the sheets.
6. To create a PDF, check the Print to PDF box and enter the path and file name.
7. Click OK to send the sheets to a printer.
   • In the popup, select Overwrite to replace an existing PDF (default), Append to add the newly printed sheets to the end of the existing PDF, or Cancel to stop the print. Appending the PDF enables you to build a complete plan set document over multiple print runs, without losing earlier pages.

     Note: Appending sheets to an existing PDF is only possible when the new sheets have the same page size as those already in the PDF. If they do not, TBC leaves the existing PDF untouched.

8. Click Remote to save the sheets to Connected Workspace.
   • If you have a Trimble Connect account and you are signed in with your Trimble ID, the Connected Workspace window displays immediately. Otherwise, you will be prompted to log in with your Trimble ID.
   • If you do not have a Trimble Connect account, visit connect.trimble.com to create one.
