Scale Bar Options

This topic describes the options available to define a scale bar either when you create it using the Create Scale Bar command pane or when you edit it using its Properties pane. Use the following scale bar as an example when reading descriptions in the table below.


Bar
Height	Height of scale bar. See 1 above.
Number of left divisions	Number of divisions (units) on left side of scale bar (none to 10). See 2 above.
Left sheet unit per bar unit	Number of sheet units per left-side bar unit. See 7 above.
Number of right divisions	Number of divisions (units) on right side of scale bar (0 to 10). See 3 above.
Right sheet unit per bar unit	Number of sheet units per right-side bar unit. See 5 above.
Ruler (see 4 above)
Text style	Text style for ruler distance units. (Units used are based on Project Settings.)
Position	Position of the ruler: above or below scale bar.
Scale (see 6 above)
Display scale label	Display or hide scale label.
Format	Format of scale label.
Text style	Text style for scale label.
Position	Position of scale label: above or below scale bar on left, middle, or right; or on either side of scale bar.
Prefix	Prefix to add to scale label.
