Create and Edit Shareable Slope Tables
Use the Create Shareable Slope Table command to create a station and shareable slope table that represents the cross-slopes on a road. You can view the created slope table line in the superelevation diagram. Then, when creating a template instruction, you can select the shared slope table, or the shared slope table line from the superelevation diagram to define the slope component of the template instruction. You can reuse the table for other instructions or templates, providing they are based on the same alignment. Slope tables are commonly used during road surface rehabilitation to enter the surveyed slopes of the road.
Note: Before you create a shareable slope table, make sure the alignment on which it is based is accurate and complete. If you change the alignment after creating the shared slope table, you will have to recreate or modify the shared slope table based on those changes.
Prerequisites:
- Alignment
- Licensed module; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
To access the command:
- Select Create Shareable Slope Table in Corridors > Alignment.
To create a shareable slope table:
- In the Name box, type an identifier for the shareable slope table as you want it to appear in the Shared slope table list when you create a template instruction for your corridor.
- In the Alignment list, select the alignment to which you want to add the shareable slope table.
- Click OK. The Edit Shareable Slope Table pane appears.
- In the Station column, type the station at which you want to add a cross-slope in a cell.
- In the Slope column, type the cross-slope for that station in the cell.
Note: You can copy and paste the station and slope values from a spreadsheet.
- In the VC Length column, enter the vertical curve length for that station.
- Rows are automatically ordered by station value. Click
, in the Station column to change the order from smallest to largest, to largest to smallest.
- Click OK.
The shareable slope table line appears in the Superelevation diagram. To change the appearance of the line, see Superelevation Diagram.
You can now use the shareable slope table to enter the slope component for any corridor template instruction providing the corridor's alignment is the same as the alignment on which the shareable slope table is based. See Create Corridor Template Instructions.
To edit a shareable slope table:
- In the Project Explorer, right-click the alignment and select Superelevation diagram.
- In the Superelevation diagram, right click the slope line representing the shareable slope table and select Edit from the context menu.
Note: If you have multiple slope lines in your superelevation diagram, hover your cursor over the line to view its origin and name.
- In the Edit Shareable Slope Table pane, make the required edits to the station or slope.
- To add additional stations to the shareable slope table, click in an empty cell. Type the new station and slope details.
Note: The list will be automatically ordered by station value when you click OK.
- Click OK.
