Export Orthoimage Files (.tiff, .txt, .tfw)
Use the Orthoimage exporter to export a TIFF (.tif) file containing an image and a text (.txt) file containing coordinates for the image's corners from an orthoimage/orthophoto or georeferenced image that was created in, or imported into, your project. The text file, which is used if you import the image into another <ProdutAbbrev> project, includes 3D corner coordinates for orthoimages/orthophotos and 2D corner coordinates for georeferenced images.
Note: You can create orthoimages in your project using the Create Orthophoto and Create Rectified Image commands. You can create georeferenced images using the Georeference Image command.
To export orthoimage files:
- Select Export in Home > Data Exchange.
- In the Export pane, select the CAD tab and select Orthoimage exporter.
- Click in the Data field. Then use Project Explorer or a graphic view or to select the orthoimage or georeferenced image you want to export.
Optionally, click the Options button and select an appropriate selection option.
- Optionally, in the File Name field, change the default export file name. If necessary, click the Browse button to specify a location for the export file other than the project folder.
- Optionally, under Settings, select Yes in the Create world file dropdown to generate a TFW file.
- Optionally, select Use existing compression to compress the file with the original compression method, if the file was previously compressed and if TBC supports that compression method.
- Click Export.
