Import Feature Extraction Attribute Map Files (.exl)

When using the Extract Point Feature command to extract point features and attributes from a point cloud, users have the option of exporting an EXL (.exl) mapping file that defines the feature attribute/extraction attribute mapping that have been set up in the project for one or more feature codes. You can then import this file into your project and, with no additional effort, be assured your mapping matches the originating project.

To import a feature extraction attribute map file:

Do either of the following:

  • Drag and drop the EXL file onto the Plan View in TBC.
  • Select Import in Home > Data Exchange. Then select the folder and EXL file you want to import.
  • Select Project Settings in the Quick Access Toolbar and select Feature Code Processing. Then use the Feature extraction attribute map selection field to select the EXL file you want to import.

Note: If you select to import a new attribute map, any map previously imported into the project will be deleted.
