Export Feature Extraction Attribute Map Files (.exl)

When using the Extract Point Feature command to extract point features and attributes from a point cloud, you have the option of exporting an EXL (.exl) mapping file that defines the feature attribute/extraction attribute mapping that you have set up in the project for one or more feature codes. You can then share this file with other users who can import it into their project and, with no additional effort, be assured their mapping matches yours.

To export a feature extraction attribute map file:

  1. Select Export in Home > Data Exchange.
  2. In the Export pane, select the GIS tab.
  3. On the GIS tab, select Feature Extraction Attribute Map (.exl) exporter.
  4. Optionally, change the default name and location for the new EXL file.

The default name is the same as the project name. The default location is the project folder.

  5. Click Export.
