Create a Circle Using the CAD Command Line

Use the Create Circle command alias on the CAD Command Line to create a 360° arc at a constant elevation.

Prerequisites:

To create a circle from the CAD Command Line:

  1. Press [F3] or click thei_command line icon on the Status Bar to open the CAD Command Line.
  2. Type c or C at the command prompt, and press [Enter].
  3. If needed, set the Layer, Color, and/or Line style below the command prompt. These properties persist the next time you run the command.
  4. Based on the Center and radius mode highlighted at the prompt, pick the center point in a supported view , or type a keyword character to use another mode. The options are:
    • Center and radius - Enter C, enter or pick the circle's center point coordinate, and then pick a point on the circle or enter a radius. The command remembers the last radius used the next time you run the command.
    • Three point - Enter T, and enter three coordinates or pick three points on the circle.

    The command remembers the last mode used the next time you run the command.

  5. Press [Spacebar] to rerun the command.
