Export (Write) Feature Definitions to a Custom CSV (.csv) File

Use the Write FXL to CSVcommand to export feature definitions and control codes contained in your project's Feature Library to a custom CSV (.csv) data file that can be shared with others and imported into any TBC project.

Prerequisites:

Your project must include a Feature Library from which to export feature definitions and/or control codes.

To export feature definitions and control codes to a custom CSV text file:

  1. SelectWrite FXL to CSV in Survey > Field Data to display the Write FXL to CSV dialog.
  2. In the Target file field, enter a name for the new custom CSV file.

    By default, the file will be saved in the project folder. Optionally, click the browse button to select a different folder.

  3. Check or uncheck the check boxes as necessary to specify the feature definition and/or control code data you want to include in the export.
  4. If you want to include column headers in the CSV file, ensure the Include column headers check box is checked.
  5. Click Export.
