Export Site Mass Haul Files (.vcl)
Use the Site Mass Haul VCL exporter to share one or more mass haul analyses and related objects (such as points, surfaces, haul roads, waste sites, borrow pits, and cut fill maps) with a different project or colleague. For information about standard project link (.vcl) files, see Export Project Link Files.
Note: The Site Mass Haul VCL exporter cannot export corridors or a corridor mass haul analysis.
To export site mass haul files:
- Select Export in Home > Data Exchange. The Export dialog displays.
- Click the Construction tab.
- Select Site Mass Haul VCL exporter in the File Format list.
- Click in the Data box and select the mass haul analyses that you want to export in the Project Explorer(under Earthworks). Alternately, you can click Options and choose a selection option in the list, although Select All will not select any mass haul analyses. You can also pick specific objects to export in a graphic view or the Selection Explorer.
Type a path and file name for the exported file in the File Name box, or click the Browse button to browse for a location and specify a file name.
Note: By default, the exported file is given the name of your project.
- If you want to export another file after this one, uncheck the Close command after export box.
- Click Export. The selected data is exported to the file you specified.
