Select from Spreadsheet Views

Click rows to select individual or multiple points, occupations, or vectors in a spreadsheet view. Selected objects also highlight in graphic views, and the Project Explorer. The number of selected objects appears on the status bar. Edits in a spreadsheet cell are reflected in the object's Properties Pane after you exit from the cell.

To select a single object:

  • Click the gray box on the left of the row:

Note: When you edit northing, easting, and elevation values in a Point Spreadsheet, the quality of the point is upgraded to Control.

To select multiple points or vectors:

  • To select a series of rows, click the first row in the series, press[Shift],and click the last row in the series.  All rows in-between are selected.
  • To select multiple, separate rows, press [Ctrl] + click on each individual row to add to the selection.
  • To select all rows, right-click anywhere in the spreadsheet and select Select All from the context menu.

Note: To edit the feature code for multiple points, use the Properties pane.

To undo a selection:

  • Click any cell.
  • Right-click and select Undo Selection from the context menu - the last object selected with be removed from the selection set.  

To delete a selected row:

  • Right-click the selected row and select Delete from the context menu.
