Edit a Work Order
Prerequisites:

- Work order
To edit a work order:
- If you have just created a work order, the Work Order Editor is already displayed. Otherwise, do one of the following:
- Select Work Order Editor in Construction Data > Work Orders.
- Right-click a work order in the Project Explorer, and select Work Order Editor from the context menu.
The Work Order Editor dialog displays.
- Select a work order in the tree and click Work Order Editor displays. . The
- Select the type of task the field crew needs to perform in the Work order task list. The options in the dialog change based on the type of task you select. For descriptions of work order tasks, see Workflow for Managing Work Orders.
Note: If you change the work order task to one that does not use the values you have set, when you save and reopen the work order, those original values will not reappear if you change the task back to one that does use them.
- Select the job site design with data related to the work order in the Design list, and specify the design surface offset, if applicable.
Note: If your work order is assigned to a different controller than the design, you cannot select the design until any conflicts have been resolved.
- Set the current status, priority, and date that the work must be completed in the Work order status group.
- Describe the tasks that need to be performed in the Instructions box.
- Enter data and select settings in the other groups as needed. (See Work Order Options).
- To see the site and design data that is associated with the work order, click View. The Work Order Viewer displays. When you're done reviewing the data, click .
- Click .
