Import ISPOL Files (.ali, .ras, .sce)

Import Buhodra Ingeniería ISPOL files to bring alignment (HAL), profile (VAL), and cross-section data into your project. Generally, this data comes as a set of independent, but related files.

Note: Each set of related files should be imported at the same time so they are co-related. HAL files can be imported independent of their related VAL and cross-section files, but VAL and cross-section files must be imported concurrently with HAL files to display properly.

Importable Data

Data in the file

How the imported data is handled

HAL file (.ali)

Station Easting coordinate Northing coordinate Azimuth Type Radius Length

The first station and its easting and northing coordinates, along with azimuths, types (line, arc, and clothoid spiral), radii, and lengths for each segment, are used to form a segment-based horizontal alignment.

VAL file (.ras)

Station Elevation Curve length

Stations, elevations, and curve lengths are used to form a PI-based vertical alignment for the HAL.

Cross-section file (.sce/.sc1)

Station Offset Elevation

Stations, offsets, and elevations are used to form cross-sections along the HAL.
