Configuration
Configure the GNSS receiver connected to Trimble Mobile Manager as needed to meet your requirements.
If required, configure real-time correction and position data.

Configuration steps depend on the receiver you are using. If you are using a:
-
Trimble R Series receiver, Spectra Geospatial SPS receiver or a Trimble or Spectra Geospatial integrated handheld, you may need to install hardware options (for example, Trimble RTX).
-
Trimble receiver that has built-in tilt sensors, you will need to calibrate the tilt sensors in the receiver periodically.
-
DA2 receiver or DA1 antenna, you will need to update receiver firmware periodically as firmware updates become available.
To update firmware for Trimble R series receivers (except the R1) or Spectra Geospatial SPS receivers, you must connect the receiver to a Windows device and use the Trimble Installation Manager for Windows software to update the firmware on the receiver. To update R1 firmware, connect the receiver to a Windows device and use the appropriate utility for the firmware version you are upgrading to.

-
Configure the antenna height in your third-party app.
-
By default the GNSS correction source is set to Auto. The Auto setting will make use of the best available correction source supported by your configured receiver.
To use an NTRIP correction service, configure a Custom local correction source. See Configure real-time corrections.
-
By default, the receiver automatically transforms coordinates from the source reference frame to the optimal reference frame for your geographic location.
If your source data or system of record uses a different reference frame, configure Trimble Mobile Manager to output GNSS data in the reference frame of your choice. See Configure GNSS output.
-
Configure app settings to set the display units and battery optimization settings.
-
For Android devices, enable the Location sharing feature to make position data from Trimble Mobile Manager available to the device operating system.
See Location sharing with other apps.
Location sharing is not required if the third-party app you are using is receiving position data from a WebSocket connection via Trimble Mobile Manager or is Esri ArcGIS Field Maps. Location sharing is automatically enabled for iOS devices, although there are some limitations. For more information, see Location sharing with other apps.
