Siteworks software supports eBubble functionality for GNSS receivers that contain the appropriate tilt sensor hardware (currently the Trimble SPS986, R780, R10, R12, R12i, and R980 receivers). The eBubble is independent of the Tilt Compensation feature, has no impact on tilt compensation measurements, and is used to give a visual indication of when the receiver is level. It is similar to the level bubble on a survey rod, just now it can be displayed in Siteworks. The eBubble can also be used to trigger a measurement when the receiver is level or within a certain tolerance of level. When the Tilt Compensation feature is active, the tilt of the survey rod and GNSS receiver is accounted for in the calculated position of the rod tip, and the eBubble is not necessary to plumb the survey pole to get an accurate measurement at the survey rod tip.
